Terms of Service
Effective Date: October 17, 2026. By accessing and using word-to-pdf-conversion.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
1. Permitted Use & Service Purpose
Word to PDF Converter provides an automated online utility that transforms Microsoft Word files (.docx and .doc) into portable PDF documents. The service is provided free of charge for lawful personal, professional, educational, and commercial purposes.
2. User Content & Intellectual Property Ownership
You retain 100% ownership and copyright of every document you upload. We claim no intellectual property rights, licenses, or ownership over your files or their converted outputs. Uploaded materials are processed solely to deliver the converted PDF file to your session and are automatically deleted within 15 minutes.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
When using this service, you agree not to:
- Upload documents containing malicious code, computer viruses, Trojan horses, or infected macro scripts.
- Submit files that violate intellectual property rights, copyright laws, or confidentiality obligations owed to third parties.
- Deploy automated bots, denial-of-service scripts, or excessive parallel requests intended to degrade server availability.
- Attempt to bypass file size caps (25 MB), rate limits, or access controls.
4. Operational Constraints & File Retention
Uploads are strictly capped at 25 MB per document. Conversion tasks are bounded by a 30-second execution timeout to prevent worker starvation. In production configurations, conversions may be executed via a dedicated, secure remote conversion microservice. All uploaded input files and generated PDF documents are deleted automatically within 15 minutes of upload, or immediately following completed download. We do not provide long-term file storage, document archives, or file recovery services.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While our conversion engine strives for exact visual fidelity with Microsoft Word specifications, variations may occur due to missing proprietary fonts, complex macros, or non-standard formatting. Users are responsible for inspecting generated PDFs before formal filing or publication.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Word to PDF Converter and its maintainers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this service, including but not limited to loss of data, document formatting discrepancies, or service downtime.
7. Questions Regarding Terms
For questions regarding these terms or tool functionality, please submit an inquiry via our Contact Page or email our support desk directly at [email protected].
